Spring 1 Reading Newsletter
7.2.19 KS2 Boys, Books and Breakfast event. Thank you to the boys, parents, grandparents and friends who came to our Books and Breakfast event. We shared an extract from the book 'Sky Song' by Abi Elphinstone and then enjoyed bacon butties and a brew. It was a great start to our day!
18.12.18 KS1 Return to Read Event. We had a lovely evening of stories, hot chocolate and smartie reindeer noses at the Key Stage 1 Night Before Christmas-themed reading event. The children loved returning in their pyjamas and sharing story time with us and their families. Keeeeeep reading!!
18.12.18 Jolabokaflod event. Thank you to all the children who supported this event - we were blown away by the number of books we exchanged! The children thoroughly enjoyed giving and receiving their book gift and eating chocolate while they read their book!
Jolabokaflod - Bring in a wrapped book and exchange it for a book gift for yourself! The exchange will take place on Tuesday 18th December.

15.11.18 The KS2 Return to Read event was a huge success! Our children and families loved reading their books around the fire by torchlight. We began the evening by listening to an extract of 'Letter from the Lighthouse' by Emma Carroll and finished by eating s'mores cooked over the fire. Fantastic! Keeeeep reading...!!!
Key Stage 2 Return to Read event. Come and join us on Thursday 15th November around the campfire to spend time reading. Finish off with a toasted marshmallow...yum!!
