Sport Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

PE and Sports Grant 2016-17

The Government has provided additional funding for the academic year 2016-17 to provide new sport funding to improve the provision of PE and Sport in primary schohools.  The funding is ring fenced and can only be spent on provision for PE and sports ion schools. We are required to publish on-line details of how we have used the funding allocated to us.

For the acdemic year Sept 2016 to August 2017 we will receive ann allocation of £8575.00.

We intend to use this to improve the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of pupils registered at the school so that all p[upils develop healthy lifestyles.

We do this in the following ways:

 

  • Working alongside Specialist Sport Coaches to support pathways for all our pupils
  • Creating local community club links and sporting pathways for our pupils
  • Preparing pupils for intra and inter school competitions
  • Employing specialist dance coaches to ensure teacher's skills in teaching dance are enhanced and to engage chidlren in new activities
  • Supporting and engaging the least active pupils through lunchtime 'Get Active Clubs'. Ensuring these chidlren engage in active, healthy lifetsyles.   .
  • Releasing PE Coordinator to develop skills and dessiminate to other staff.
  • To provide places for chidlren on after school sports clubs
  • Increasing pupil participation in school games
