Inclusive Education at Leigh St Marys Church of England Primary School

Leigh St Mary’s Church of England Primary School is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for all our students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Led by our experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Headteacher, Mrs. Watson, we prioritise the well-being and progress of every child.

Building Connections

We encourage parents to reach out if they have any concerns about their child’s progress or wish to explore additional support options. Mrs. Watson actively engages with parents and holds a forum every half term and weekly SEND drop-in sessions every Thursday 9am – 9:30am, the details of which are published on our school Facebook page.

For SEND updates and events, please check our social media platforms and Dojo or contact the school office or our SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator)

SEND Information Report

Leigh St Mary’s SEND Information Report, aligned with Wigan Council’s Local Offer, outlines the provision we offer across education, health, and social services for children with SEND. The report aims to enhance information accessibility, making it easier for families to find support in one place. We work collaboratively with families, children, governors, and staff to create a nurturing and purposeful environment.

Our school’s mission revolves around inspiring, believing, and achieving, fostering a love for learning through a creative curriculum. We celebrate diversity, ensuring every child has the opportunity to be their best. For children with SEND, our dedicated team works closely with parents, teachers, and external agencies to deliver support plans.

Explore the SEND Information Report to understand our approach, policies, and specific support mechanisms. For any questions or additional information, please feel free to contact Mrs. Watson, Headteacher and SENDCO 01942 673889

We are committed to ensuring that every child at Leigh St Mary’s can thrive, grow, and achieve their full potential.
