• Applefest

  What a wonderful event Applefest was last week! We pressed apples and made apple juice, bashed an apple pinata, ate apples coated with chocolate and judged an apple pie competition! Thank you to everyone for your support. We raised lots of money towards the upkeep of Forest School.      

  

• Art Gallery at Leigh St Mary's 3:35pm Friday 21st June in the school hall

• Leigh St Mary's Dance Show

  Once again, children from Leigh St Mary's hit the stage with some fabulous dance moves at our 2nd dance show at Bedford High School. Vivacious Vibe will be dancing at the finals in Stoke on Wednesday 26th June! We are so proud of them and all the hard work they've put in over the last few months. We're cheering you on girls!! 

  

• Art Week at Leigh St Mary's

  Here is some of the fantastic art created throughout school this week. The children have explored sketching and portrait skills, investigated texture, colour and pattern and have taken part in printing work shops all inspired by Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo.

  

• Leigh Neighbour's Craft Event

  Some children in school had the wonderful opportunity to attend a craft event organised by the community group Leigh Neighbour's. The children made lanterns, clay hands and their very own apple crumble to take home to cook. Everyone had an amazing time... thank you so much Leigh Neighbours! Please come again!

  

• Friends of St Mary's buy a new shed!

  Friends of St Mary's have very kindly raised over £400 to buy a new shed for our KS1 playground. Mrs Wilkinson is so excited to have all the lunchtime equipment safely stored away. Thank you to everyone who has helped in any way to fund this - we really appreciate your support.
