Friday saw us all dressed up to celebrate the Royal Wedding. What a day it was! We learned all about the royal couple, sang the National Anthem, had a picnic on the grass and learned how to dance a barn dance. It was great fun! All the children want their lunch on the grass everyday!
Our brave cyclists set off from school last Friday morning. Mel from Wigan Council On Your Bike initiative would like more families to take up cycling as a way to keep fit. Mel took the cyclists on a ride along the canal. Another bike ride is planned for Friday 25th leaving at 9:00am. If you don't have a bike - no worries....Mel has lots!
Wednesday saw a small group of children who have music lessons in school, travelling to MediaCityUK to listen to the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. This was a special performance especially created for primary schools. We had a fantastic time!! We listened to various pieces of music; some that made us feel calm and some that was really exciting. Here are the children on arrival into the studio.
